Day 38. Most of us are excellent at being self-deprecating, and are not so good at the opposite. Tell us your favorite thing about yourself.
Like most people, I’m much more comfortable declaring my faults than hyping the positives. I seem to parp rather than toot, that’s a fact. So what do I do? I thought, whilst pondering this specific question of the day. What piece of information could I impart on the readers that shows a side of me I seldom have the time to even bother about.
Okay, I had to dig deep in the old storage boxes and found the smallest sheet of paper with the following tidbit of self-appreciation.
Do you know what it is? No. Well, the most favourite thing about myself is…
Yes, you heard it, my most favourite thing is, I have an uncanny ability to love my faults. There, I’ve said it and I feel tremendously better for it now. Thanks Daily Post for getting me to admit the positive side of me.
I like your blog, glad I found you through the Daily Prompt! I have a DIL from UK, that’s where I get all my Britishisms, much to her dismay, I think!
Thanks, I’m pleased that you like it. I don’t want to appear ignorant (okay, I do) but what does DIL stand for, I’m terrible with abbreviations. 🙂

Thanks for the pingback. 🙂
I love what you said. This is so creative and you said great things about yourself!!!
Thank you. Flaws are the one thing I can truly say I’ve learnt to accept. 😉

Thanks for the pingback. 🙂
I love this, you accept yourself and that is wonderful!
Thank you. 😉
Yes…I’d like to know what DIL is too! Parp rather than toot-like it! Wish I could love my faults! 😉
Love your faults and the rest will follow. Parp-parp. 😉
This is an inspiring post which has inspired the following:
I am…..just as I am. That’s the simple part. Understanding myself might get a little more difficult, and certainly others around me may have even a more difficult time understanding me.
I, like many, come complete with flaws, and idiosyncrasies. The knowledge as I take a good look that there is, room for improvement. The willingness I have to, continually change for the better.
All said, all done, it’s just me. I like the whole ever changing package as it strives to be just as accepting of others who, just like me, may have a few flaws, and idiosyncrasies.
Peace
Beautiful. Thanks. 🙂
