Monthly Peace Challenge: Mad Men

banner

In less than a month, Bloggers for Peace has grown into a movement of almost 100 bloggers. I’ve already been moved to tears a number of times by the powerful posts for peace. At this rate, we will have corporate sponsorship in no time, so we better be prepared. — Kozo, January 30th 2013.

For information on joining, please check out this dedicated site: Bloggers4peace.wordpress.com

Over at Bloggers for Peace, Kozo came up with some brilliant ideas for this month:

  1. Construct an advertisement for peace.
  2. Create a simple advertisement, like a slogan for peace.
  3. Write a poem or a song that can become the “Imagine” for our generation.
  4. If you are a photographer or artist, create a piece that we can post on billboards that will promote peace.
  5. Write a short story or screenplay for a short film that can be made and broadcast for peace.

As you can see by my attempt above, I went with option 4. Okay, I’m not a photographer, and I haven’t drawn or painted in years. But hey, I tried. Where the heart and ‘Bloggers for Peace’ are situated, I attempted to overlay the badge, but unfortunately I couldn’t copy and paste because it wouldn’t allow me to.

The actual quote I used was originally a comment I made on Far Away In The Sunshine’s blog:

The rising sun will always represent peace, for with each new dawning comes an idea that on this day, I hope peace will reign eternal.

It may not be everyone’s idea of peace, but the post inspired me to create the poster. So, there’s my monthly entry. Short, and to the point.

  1. Yeah, Sarah. I love the quotation. I thought it was a quotation by the Dalai Lama or Mother Teresa. I didn’t know that you had taken it from one of your own comments on Anyes’s blog. Just shows how spiritually enlightened you are. :)
I also like the idea of the darkness being overcome by light and peace. Great work. Thank you for being a dedicated B4Peace. {{{Hugs}}} Kozo
